Explorer Academy is a choice school within the South Kitsap School District, this means that automatic enrollment is not offered. Please see the following steps depending on your students grade level:
Grades K-5
- Submit a fully completed application (including immunization records)
- Conduct an interview with the consulting teacher
- Consulting teacher will determine eligibility for enrollment.
Grades 6-12
- Submit a fully completed application (including immunization records)
- Complete the orientation assessment with a score of 80% or better
- Conduct an interview with consulting teacher
- Consulting teacher will determine eligibility for enrollment

Administration of medication at school
State law dictates that all medications (prescription and OTC) require a physician's signature. Form 157 Medication at School is available on the district website under Forms Library and must be completed and filed with the school nurse/Health Room for each medication to be administered. All medications must have appropriate labeling.
